In 1991 there were many groups that tried to copy Enigma's sound by making tracks that sound very similar to "MCMXC a.D. Losts of people were angry at this because they felt that the groups were nothing but copycats. Personally, I feel that it's really great that Enigma has influenced so many artists to recreate the "Enigmatic" style. Device is one of those groups and I really love this track. The first time I heard it I was in The Wiz and right away I assumed that it was a brand new remix of Sadeness. I asked the clerk if there was a new remix single for Sadeness and he told me no, that it was this new group called "Device."
