Well here it is another selection of music videos to satisfy the Enigma fan. Hopefully there are a few classics here to please your appetite. We start off with Snap's "The Power" because A--it was requested and B--it's one of those songs that was around when Enigma was born. Cretu also refers to Snap in one of his interviews: "Snap. I didn't even know that it was a German production. When I heard "The Power" for the first time, I said, look, that's the way rap music ought to be. That's it. To my great surprise, I found out a couple of months later that the two guys are from Frankfurt, Germany."
Also included in this month's reel is Peter Gabriel. Now normally I would play something like "Sledge Hammer" because the video is just really cool. A fan of the show wanted to see something by him so I decided to dig into the archives and play something a little older. Peter Gabriel was also featured on Deep Forest's "while the earth sleeps" which can be found on the "Strange Days" soundtrack. One of my favorites is Sade's "No Ordinary Love" which if I remember correctly was sort of the theme song to the film "Indecent Proposal." It doesn't appear on the soundtrack so don't quote me on that. The bloodhound gang …what the heck can I say about that one. This was requested as well. I don't think this song is really Enigma related but the band does do some wacky stuff. They're more of a rock band but this is kind of a clubby track and the video is just great. If anything it's worth adding it just because it's so funny. PM Dawn made the cut because it's another one of those "Birth of Enigma" tracks and it also has that Enigmatic Beat going on. It's another one of those songs that put you back into that great time period right before the mainstream drastically changed to grunge. OK, I'm done…enjoy.......
